sturdy but heavy
I am happy overall with this futon frame. The only complaint is that it is heavy and sometimes with the weight of the mattress a little hard to do the multiple adjustments. It was really easy to put together and I like that I can get the feeling of a reclining chair for my legs. I am on my feet most of the day and this helps me to relax. I recommend it to anyone who has a small den or living room.

Great price for a great basic product
I was a little overwhelmed when the package arrived at my door. This futon does not come even partially assembled. Hats off to the company, though, as that this densely packed parcel was easy to get upstairs, and once I looked at the instructions and realized they were in English, with helpful drawings, I calmed myself and set to work. The tools I needed was a Phillips screw driver (short handle), masking tape (not essential, but helped me!) and a pen. I unboxed the pieces one by one, and writing on the tape the individual piece number (eg. K-2), I labeled each pile of sorted pieces. After that, assembly was a piece of cake.
This is the nicest looking, inexpensive futon I have ever seen for the price. Also, the way that it's assembled (bolts and hairpins) means that the three sections can be removed and stacked, making it easy to move. I definitely recommend this futon frame!
Awkward
Bought this futon because I thought the extra adjustment features would be nice. But it turned out to be awkward and uncomfortable. It requires two people and a lot of cussing to roll the mattress up under itself to turn it into a sofa, and then the seat is too high, scoots out from under itself, and the back is too upright. The back won't recline enough to lay on to watch TV or read comfortably in bed either. Slept on this thing for a year...my back may recover someday, I hope.
